I love working with glass and coming up with ways to really push the boundaries of what I can do with it.
I have developed all of my own glass working techniques, including my favourite: creating kiln-blown glass.
This involves carving my designs out of the glass while it's cold, and then layering it in my custom built kiln. When the glass is molten hot at 1500ºF, I open it up and work with the glass to control the shaping and blow-out of each piece. Because of all the little factors that have to come together to make these pieces work, I can only produce one 7x7" tile per day.
My tiles can also be used in backsplashes and lit installations! Feel free to contact me about custom sizes and colours.
