My name is Cynthia Sickler. I’ve been designing and making bears and Friends since 1992. I adore quality materials and love to work with Silks, Wools, Lamp work beads, Even Vintage Material. As a small child my grandmother decided I was a very ” Busy ” child to keep her sanity. I soon was learning to crochet, Knit and needle point. Sewing soon came after and while in High school I Worked and Taught at the local Yarn Shop, Designing and making many custom Sweaters. At this time I also learned Tatting, Ribbon and Brazilian Embroidery, Cross stitch and Bobbin lace to name a few. Well rounded in Fiber Arts I began a College career in Fine Arts. Needless to say Art is in My blood and When a Friend introduced me to Amigurumi I was enthralled. A true labor of love goes into my guys. Amigurumi or also known as Thread bears when done in fingering weight yarn seems to be a logical fit for my skills. It is Definitely an obsession !!
