Hello my name is Gary Anderson. My wife and I live north of Fort Worth, TX. I have worked with wood since I was a little boy, gaining a lot of wisdom from my father. His main advice was "take your time, patience not productivity.”
Each piece is unique, using my own creativity. We travel to many states to find just the right woods for the jewelry/keepsake boxes.
I begin with an idea, then laminate woods in layers. I do all the joinery, cutting, lots of sanding, and finishing. Each piece requires many steps, which may take up to 5 days to complete. I use whatever tools I have to complete the piece.
My wife is my best supporter, helper and critic, her input is invalueable to me.
